Live life to the full - it’s a cliche for a reason

What a strange couple of days it’s been, to cut a long story short, my folks came to see me at the weekend, and while we were talking the conversation turned to my cousin’s husband who had a very serious bike accident at Brands Hatch race-course a few weeks ago. He has come round from the theraputic coma he was being kept in, and is making good progress but it is till too early for a prognosis to be given.

The sense of not being able to do anything to help is probably the worst, quickly followed by fear that the Mark we all knew may never return to us.

 I also recently heard about the death of a fellow forum contributor, flickr user and keen urban explorer, Ian Talty (aka MundaneJoy/Joy of the mundane).

I just needed to put this out there:

Both Mark, and Ian, were doing what they loved to, needed to and, I guess, what made them feel alive, when the accidents that befell them occured. There’s a message there, but damn if I know what it is.

Get well soon Mark, and Ian - I really hope heaven turns out to be a gigantic disused industrial space complex for you to spend eternity photographing…rest in peace….
